“Katoomba, located in the Blue Mountains, is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Sydney. Our plan was to spend one night in Katoomba and visit the famous Three Sisters. In this blog, we will share our experience of traveling to Katoomba and how to make the most of your visit.

We began our journey by taking a train from Central Station to Katoomba, a journey that took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. To travel in and around Sydney, you will need an Opal card, which can be purchased at various locations such as Woolworths and 7 eleven and can also be used with a debit card with EFTPOS for a tap-on and tap-off journey.

Once we arrived at Katoomba station, we used the explorer bus to travel around and visit the various scenic spots in the area. You can book the explorer bus here – https://www.explorerbus.com.au/ and also purchase Scenic world passes – https://scenicworld.com.au/

We stayed at the hotel “Hotel Blue”, which is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the station. We booked our hotel through Agoda. In the evening, we dined at the Patagonia Italian Restaurant, which served delicious lasagnas and pasta. We were surprised by the snow that fell early the next morning but made the most of it by going out to enjoy the beautiful views.

The highlight of our trip was visiting the Echo Point Lookout, where we were able to take in the stunning views of the Three Sisters that tower over the Jamison Valley. After spending some time on the lookout, we checked out of our hotel and headed back to Sydney. Overall, Katoomba is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a scenic and memorable getaway.”
